Ky Anderson is a New York-based artist known for her geometric, abstract paintings that reference everyday subjects. She sees her paintings as descriptive of the world around us and often conveys a sense of distance through her use of flat forms, limited palettes, and abstract lines that allude to the horizon. Anderson works on a group of paintings incrementally, which is why suites of her work often have similar colors. She also returns to and reworks paintings over the course of years.
