Claudia Rippee is a photographer based in Manchester, New Hampshire, known for her work in various photographic mediums. As an avid traveler, many of her photographs capture the rhythm of life in urban settings and the layered art on city walls. Claudia seeks out patterns and meaning in these urban canvases, using selective framing and cropping to create additional layers of significance.
Her photographic practice extends to using pinhole cameras, the handmade cyanotype process, and wet plate tintypes. Claudia taught color photography at the New Hampshire Institute of Art from 2002 to 2012 and has been a member of the New Hampshire Art Association since 1998. She is also associated with Silver Sunbeam Studio at the historic Kimball Jenkins Estate in Concord, NH, where she focuses on creating wet plate still life images.
