Chad Kouri is a Detroit-born artist who has made a name for himself in the thriving art community of Chicago, where he currently resides and practices studio art and design. For over a decade, Kouri has played an instrumental role in shaping national and international dialogues around Chicago’s creative community through his curatorial and collaborative efforts as part of The Post Family.

Before dedicating himself to his artistic practice full-time, Kouri worked as Art Director for the award-winning contemporary art magazine, Proximity. His art has been exhibited widely at both national and international venues, including The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Johalla Projects, Toledo Museum of Art, Purdue University, and Apexart, among others.

Kouri’s projects span across various media, ranging from one-of-a-kind and editioned artwork to large-scale installations, design direction and consulting, and book design. He is also a visiting artist at various institutions, including The School of the Art Institute Chicago, Glasgow School of Art, and The Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany.

In his recent work, Kouri has been exploring painting as a medium, adding to the diversity of his creative output. His work reflects his passion for art and design, his dedication to his craft, and his active participation in the art community on a local and international level.
